National Park Geek
National Park Geek
Normally when I decide to start planning a vacation, I first think of what National Park is at the top of my list. My list of places I want to see is pretty extensive, and among the top of those places that I’m lusting over are numerous National Parks. I LOVE National Parks. I’m a true National Park geek, so far, I’ve been to 19 of the 61 National Parks in the US.
These are the parks I have visited, I would highly recommend visiting all of them:
Antelope Canyon (not a National Park, but worth a visit)
Badlands
Banff and Jasper (I know they’re in Canada, but they’re beautiful)
Grand Teton
Mammoth Cave
Redwood
Yellowstone
There’s something breathtaking about immersing yourself in the most beautiful places the world has to offer. And what's not to love about them? You normally only have to pay a park entrance fee to have a week's worth of hiking accessible to you. Every park that I have been to offers hikes that are accessible to everyone, no matter your fitness level.
These are the parks that I would like to visit in the next 5 years:
Death Valley
Denali
Glacier
Glacier Bay
Haleakalā
Hawaiʻi Volcanoes
Joshua Tree
Katmai
Kenai Fjords
Kings Canyon
North Cascades
Petrified Forest
Sequoia
If you’re planning a trip to a National Park, check out the blogs on all of the parks that I’ve been to.
