Many Thanks
Many Thanks
Last week I blogged about Wandering Root’s 1st birthday and all the growth that came with it and I constantly mentioned how grateful I am for my tribe/community that I leaned on so hard. Here they are in alphabetical order because I couldn’t think of a better way:
Abby - Thank you for all of your wisdom, expertise and help with saving my social media. Thank you for making the time to be the coach on my MI retreats this year. We’ve gotten closer this past year and I’m so grateful for your vulnerability and for getting to spend time with you. Thanks for being that friend that always checks in on me.
Abbey - You took a chance on me that will forever make me in your debt. You answered a cry for help on FB when I needed a chef for my Banff retreat. You got stuck in the Denver airport for 12 hours, didn’t get your luggage for 2 days, and were still upbeat and made the most delectable meals while making it look SO easy! You’re an incredible artist and chef and one of the kindest people that I know. Thank you for believing in me. I don’t ever want to host a retreat without you. I’m so grateful for our friendship.
Beth - I know we don’t get to see each other’s faces but we always have a good time together. You also always make time to meet me for lunch to help me with all of the things I can’t figure out about marketing and you bring notes, which is my favorite. We’ve known each other for a long time and I’m grateful to continually grow with you as my friend.
Bri - Thank you for having me on your podcast and for hosting my first event with me. I learn so much from you and admire your drive. I love your sense of humor and your kindness. I love how much we have in common and how easy it is to hold space for each other and our chronic pain journeys. Thanks for being the friend that always reminds me to make time for self-care and self-love.
Elise - Thank you for inspiring me and for believing in me, especially when I don’t believe in myself. Thank you for supporting all of my crazy ideas and for always making me look better than I actually am. I often get compliments on my marketing, and I know it’s because of your talents! You’re always the one that I want to bounce ideas off of and the only person that I talk to on the phone. I love your positivity, creativity, passion, and enthusiasm. I love you and you will forever be my bestie.
Erika - Thanks for motivating me to get my ass out of bed for years to make it to the 6am class. It’s been nice to start the journey of entrepreneurship together and commiserate with each other. I love you and I’m so grateful for your support.
Jenn B - Thank you for always supporting everything that I do. You are the friend that has come to the most classes, events and both retreats so far. You edit all of my blogs and usually with short deadlines. You’ve taken over my social media so that I can be more present on retreats and made some awesome videos for me. I love your sarcasm, sense of humor, kind heart, and how defensive you are of your friends. So grateful you’re my bestie and that we get to have drinks together often.
Jenn D - I have always admired your brand and I was so flattered when you said you’d love to collaborate sometime. In the short period of time that I’ve known you, I think we have a ton in common. You’re adventurous, organized, driven, and confident. I can’t wait to create incredible experiences while travelling the world together.
Jenn F - Thank you for healing me. My shoulder and hip pain are something that I thought I may have to live with forever, until I met you. I admire your work and your knowledge. I love your sense of humor and your confidence. I really hope we work together soon!
Jes - Thank you for being my friend, yoga buddy, car twin and lawyer. When we first started Red Cedar Landscapes, so many people told us to hire a lawyer and I’m so grateful to have one that I can trust. Thank you for coming on my first retreat and believing in me. I’m so grateful that I’ve gotten to share most of my yoga journey with you. We need to get back in the habit of meeting for yoga and breakfast, miss you!
Jill - We have a ridiculous amount in common. You always understand me and always make me laugh. I love your vulnerability and your honesty. We literally never run out of things to talk about. You’ve coached me through a lot and your “what is the worst that could happen” statement is something that I repeat to myself often. I’ll be forever grateful that you let me teach my first class at Green Lion and gave me feedback when I asked for it. Thank you for supporting me and for always loving me, even at my worst.
Kate - Thank you for connecting me with so many amazing yogis in the community, especially at Lotus Jo’s. I find your work and your knowledge of the body incredibly inspiring but I’m even more in awe of how supportive you are of your friends. I can’t decide what I love most about you: your sense of humor or your passion for food and brunch. I can’t wait to collaborate with you and I’m grateful to have you as a friend that I know will always have my back.
Kayla - Thank you for being my mentor and a great teacher. Your attention to detail is unmatched and I’ve learned so much from you. Thank you for coordinating my class recording and for all of your support!
Kim - Thank you for holding space for me during YTT. That was an incredibly vulnerable space for me and you loved me through it. I love your sense of humor, that you always have beer, and I admire what an amazing teacher you are.
Laura - Thanks for always being willing to meet up and talk about the hard things! I love you!
Lauren - Thanks for being an amazing mentor, coach and friend. Thank you for taking a risk with me and hosting my first retreat with me. You’ve helped me sort through my problems and my dreams and I’m so grateful. Love you!
Ryan - You’re my favorite human and biggest supporter. Even though we have no idea about each other’s fields, we always run ideas by one another and make the big decisions together. I couldn’t do half of the things I do without you. I love you so much.
Sara D. - I don’t think I know anyone stronger than you. You’re kind, funny, a natural teacher, and can always find the good in people. You inspire the hell out of me and I love you!
Sara S. - Bud, you’re my oldest friend and wombmate (do people actually say that?) We’re so different and usually going through completely different life circumstances but you always meet me where I’m at. You always know when I’m going to cry even if we’re on the phone. We still talk daily and somehow never run out of things to say. You’re the easiest person to share my feelings with. We’ve been through a lot together. Thank you for not holding a grudge when I accidentally tried to kill us twice. Love ya!
Shoosh - Thank you for giving me an amazing platform to market my work on, I’m so grateful for your support. Thanks for coming on the first retreat. You’re positivity and upbeat attitude are contagious and somewhat unbelievable considering what your life has been recently. You are all about community and I’m so grateful that you’re a part of mine. I love you and love spending time with you!
Sondra - Thank you for letting me practice teaching, for always giving me good, honest feedback, and for telling me when I finally didn’t suck anymore. I grew a lot as a teacher with your support. I love your positivity, your drive and how you’re unapologetically you. I can’t wait to travel more with you!
It is a weird thing to have to draw the line somewhere. There were many others, so know that if our paths crossed in any way over the last year, that I’m grateful for you. It’s humbling to have an incredible, supportive community and myself and Wandering Roots wouldn’t be the same without you, so thank YOU!
