Reflections on the Costa Rica '23 Retreat
Reflections on the Costa Rica '23 Retreat
I just returned from the Costa Rica Retreat.
My heart is SO full.
We hit the jackpot with our guests per usual (how do we keep getting so lucky?) and were able to meet 7 new incredible humans as well as reconnect with 3 old friends (past guests - that's not a reflection of their age!)
The ages ranged from 20 to 62 and how easily everyone was able to befriend and connect with one another was so much fun to witness.
These women truly showed up for themselves and each other.
They were vulnerable.
They pushed themselves.
They supported one another.
They shared their stories.
They gave each other nicknames.
They asked for help when they needed it.
They didn't apologize.
They let us take care of them (for the most part.)
They took up space.
And they truly rolled with the punches that included much more rain than expected, flat tires, excursions and restaurant last minute changes, power outages...just to name a few.
They reminded each other to get out of their own way and "look up" before they missed how beautiful the landscape and experience was.
Some made big shifts.
Some worked toward figuring out what they truly want out of life.
Some left behind parts that no longer served them.
One quit her job.
One extended her stay.
They made new friends.
They tried new things.
And I'm pretty sure they all felt renewed and restored on some level.
I'm so proud of them and grateful to know them.
I'm also really proud of Abbey, Elise and myself. We all showed up big, pivoted constantly and somewhat seamlessly, and we were vulnerable and present. Working alongside two besties that you deeply love and respect is something that I'll be forever grateful for. We work so well together while simultaneously having a blast.
What a gift.
To the 10 women that invested their time and energy with us, thank you. I'm truly grateful to know you and can't wait for the day when our paths cross again.
Our next retreat is in Ireland this May and we only have 2 spots left. Join us and 8 other incredible women, 3/4's of which joined me in Costa Rica last year...so you know you'll be in great company :)
Join us on our next adventure!
