National Park Geek Series - Moab Area Edition
Moab, Utah is a town that is surrounded by two national parks as well as a state park. We visited Dead Horse Point State Park which turned out to be very accessible and rather incredible.
We then headed to Canyonlands National Park. We visited both the Island in the Sky district and the Needles district. It's a bit of a drive between the two, but I would highly recommend seeing both.
Our lodging in Moab was split between a tiny house that we both loved and enjoyed and glamping (glamorous camping) just outside of Arches main entrance. It was a little hot in early September for my husband to fully appreciate glamping. I, however, had a fun and unique experience and would consider doing it again.
We pretty much saw every arch that Arches National Park had to offer and hiked many of the trails. Arches has many accessible trails and both Canyonlands and Arches have accessible scenic points by car. I would love to visit here again someday.
